Mystery solved! As I first thought my rummaging around must have caused the the plug on the top of the battery box to be loose. No issues other than myself.

Ok back to square one. I replaced the cracked clutch lever and when I squeezed the brake, nothing. I just feel like the MC is not holding pressure. I can squeeze the lever and the brake light will come on momentarily then off so pressure loss. I have no leaks that would allow air intrusion so I’m left with the issue being the MC because I feel any other type of leak would show itself. I have another MC I can try so let me see about that.
As with this MC I notice the kit that I’ve gotten the last few times has a shorter piston. I wonder if that could be the issue. I’m going with the 5T method and just giving it a good cleaning and reinstall And see if that makes a difference.
I cleaned and used the MC I had from the TX500 parts bike. Other than the banjo clocked at 6 vs 7oclock everything appears to be working correctly now.
