As some people have mentioned on this site, when fiiting VM carbs to the stock petcock, the petcock is 1/4 inch and the carb is 5/16 and this creates a small issue as to what size fuel line to use.
Well, I am one of these guys and after reading a bunch of answers, I came up with this solution...
grizld1 made reference to a lawnmower fuel filter with the barbed ends being both 1/4 and 5/16 inch, and wouldn't you know,I had one in my tool box.
After cutting the filter apart and sanding a taper on the filter end, I now have 2 barbs with 1/4 inch on one end tank petcock) and 5/16 Inch on the other, carb side.
I have plenty of room for the 1/4 inch fuel filters.
Have I tried this yet, the answer is no, but I really don't see any issue.
