Thank you I will check that out. It doesn’t have to be exact as long as it covers the indent in the tank where the emblem sits.XJBikes.com is a very useful forum for your XJ650 Maxim. I don’t know if XS650 badges are the same or not. Badge Replicas in Oz might list them and show what size they are.
Badgereplicas.com.au is the url
It helps to have the screw holes line up.Thank you I will check that out. It doesn’t have to be exact as long as it covers the indent in the tank where the emblem sits.
It does but if we find a “Yamaha” emblem that adheres with 2 sided tape and covers the indent and screw holes that will, work as wellIt helps to have the screw holes line up.
Post 3 says it's an XS650 MAXIM. Asking clarification seems prudent.Sorry , should have mentioned that. 82 xs650 maxim.
Len also owns YearOne, muscle car parts. I worked for Yearone for 12 years. Been to Len’s shop many times. It is in Atlanta. There’s a parts vendor at XJBikes.com. His forum handle is “Chacal.” XJ4Ever.com is an excellent source for XJ parts.
FWIW, the XJ650 is an excellent motorcycle. It is extremely durable.
Yep! I think somewhere we had this conversation. Maybe at XS11.comLen also owns YearOne, muscle car parts. I worked for Yearone for 12 years. Been to Len’s shop many times. It is in Atlanta.

Thanks it’s in very nice shape and starts and runs perfectly. Was a lil concerned when I saw the pods and 4 into one exhaust that the carbs were oem jetting but it runs so smooth that perhaps the carbs were done. Or perhaps it wasn’t needed..idk. I know on my Harley you change air in and out and air/fuel has to change so not to be lean.PS those are known good motors.
That bike looks to be in good shape.
If it has issues with how it runs, find some decent filters to replace those pods, they can cause erratic running.
I might have a (similar) emblem.
