Guys,
The XS650 Engine book is on its way, but this is the rebuild part, i knew would be a pain: The selector drum came removed from the crankcase, but with the forks attached and the pin/s shown as below.
The pin looks nothing like in the Haynes manual (2 piece with a roller) is this a later version?
Also only managed so far to get one out after jiggling with a suitable sized crosshead screwdriver, the others are not budging, though i have yet to seriously apply heat and cold. The pins would have been taken out at original stripdown, but could well have been left in poor conditions.

But most importantly is this one piece pin correct? has a hole right through about 2.5mm diameter

oops, broke the golden rule of checking previous posts! I have found it was changed to single pin - but still happy for any suggestions for getting those remaining 2 pins out?

Thanks

Barrie

I just use an appropriate size drift (punch). Maybe attached will help (it was made for another discussion but pertinent).
