A little spendy ($200), but gives you mechanical and vacuum advance in a 6V unit.

Thanks I have sent an inquiry to my domestic supplier. On their website, they don’t list this model. Looks interesting though.A little spendy ($200), but gives you mechanical and vacuum advance in a 6V unit.

Yes, I noticed that too. I'm just a wanker, but in the grand scheme of things today, $450 all in for a modern ignition to replace the 70 yoa V-Dub schlub ignition is probably not a terrible deal.Just read a bit more and I would have to replace coil and wires too. Another $250. The rabbit hole deepens.

But I feel your pain...on another project bike (KZ) I have found that the coils I bought last year on the advice of some reseller are not really ideal per the manufacturer, and so another $220 for the new ones and the pleasure of selling the other ones on FleaBay.![]()
Ouch! No $hit I'd put it on hold too!Just heard back from the vendor. $536.00 cdn for the distributor plus coil plus wires. I’ll put this purchase on hold for now.
I bought a case of that long ago. Haven’t used it yet but apparently works great. The bottles feel empty but I think you just open the lid and pour the gaseous contents on top of the motor.View attachment 371127

Great! I thought KaleCo went out of business. I never pulled the trigger on those porcupine seat covers or a new Johnson Rod. I’m glad it’s not too late.View attachment 371127

Thanks Jim. They aren’t perfect and fingers crossed they’ll hold up. The material I used is like a pressed paper. I bought it from and auto upholstery place. I could have used Masonite. That may have been better?Nice job on the door cards!!

That's all I've ever used. The material I used is like a pressed paper. I bought it from and auto upholstery place.
No heat gun on the big panel. I found if you make enough pie shaped cuts on the corners the material stretches well. I may run into the material sagging in the summer. If it does I’ll have a couple of horizontal lines stitched on the panels. It looks good from here.......
(carefully) Use a heat gun on the corners?
Generally upholstering goes best when it's warm/ hot.
