Going to Ohio..

Getting this bike has been a long drawn out affair. I have been looking for a good red 77 for a long time. I saw this one over a year ago on Craigslist or fb but dismissed it as it was above the price I was willing to pay and frankly too nice for me. Well it became quite obvious to me that my riding time is winding down and when my mother told me to get a motorcycle with my inheritance that was that. I contacted the owner in January and made several attempts to hook up with him in Ohio but were canceled due to weather or health issues or whatever. I was supposed to leave Wisconsin this morning but the weather forecast was snow. My next window of opportunity was after Easter and I really was sweating it out that someone else would bag it. So wife and I left early Sunday morning and drove through Milwaukee-Chicago with little traffic. Made it to our destination in Ohio late afternoon. The bike was as beautiful as the pictures. Complete restoration including new paint, clutch, suspension, top end, cylinder, and the list goes on. I also got a ton of spare parts. Bike sounds great and I am extremely happy with the deal. I’m staying an extra day in Dayton before the long drive home via Bloomington (Avoiding Chicago) tomorrow to give wifey a chance to get even shopping and visit with my daughter tonight. Will post more pictures later when the sun comes out. She’s sitting on my trailer in the hotel parking lot. They wouldn’t let me take it in the room.
