Gonzo Project. Pick up wires: only 2 used?

Guys, I'm finally at the "getting a spark" stage of my build.
I've got a suspect original TCI Box that I could not get to function on my test bed so I've picked up a couple of GN250 boxes and just sorting out the temp wiring set up this weekend.
Am I right that only the Black "Ground" and Orange "Retard" wires are connected from the standard Pick ups?
If so I take it the Igniter box does the advancing without an Advance signal from the pick-ups?
If I'm wrong, can you please tell me where the Grey "Advance" wire from the pick-ups is connected? - cant see it on any of the diagrams or explanations

You are correct. Only the *retard* coil from the pickup is used. If you follow all the notes in this diagram, it explains where everything goes. Let us know how everything works out.
