Got pulled over in the Vette.

I Had a work colleague into fast cars He had bought himself a BMW 318 factory racing equipped car
I don't remember the specifics not many made and sold . Street legal .But a sports racing car

Some BMW s have a reputation being Drug dealer cars
Well he was driving in heavy traffic in line traffic gueue following the traffic pace a bit over speed limit
Police waved him in giving a ticket for speeding No one else got one.

Someone doesn't have enough meaningful stuff to do...
Many years ago, downtown Austin, I was first in line waiting for a light to change. On the other side of the intersection was a cop, pointed at me, also first in line and waiting for the light to change. He noticed my expired inspection sticker as we sat, turned around after the light changed, and pulled me over. I showed him my failed inspection report -- I had at least tried, but failed due to worn wipers. He was reluctant, but let me go. I think it helped that my dog was in the car with me, indicating that I wasn't a sociopath.
A year ago, genius Texas did away with vehicle inspections. You read that right -- we do not require vehicle inspections.
It's getting more and more like the wild west out here. As of four years ago, we no longer require permits to carry handguns. And you can carry that gun openly. Then two years ago, it became mandatory for every man, woman and child in the state over the age of 6 to carry a loaded handgun on them at all times. Okay, just kidding about that last one. Rant over.

In Georgia, no vehicle safety inspections. In Mississippi, same. I don’t need a permit to carry a concealed firearm either. I don’t know about open carry as I very seldom see it.
Mississippi will make driver education mandatory beginning 2027 for anyone who wants to obtain a driver license. Also, all public schools in Mississippi have to provide driver Ed. I believe elementary schools are off the hook on that. You have to be 14 to get a permit. 14? Yeah, I’d rather deal with them than the middle aged lady who assaulted me on my way to work this morning.

But, on the other hand, aren't y'all literally drowning in freedom?:laugh2: Can't put a price on that, they tell me.

The only time you need a vehicle inspection in Quebec is if you have let the plate lapse for more than 12 months, so the no-inspection thing is no shock.

Speaking of meaningful things to do, many (many!!!) years ago a motorcycle cop pulled me over for excessive exhaust noise, leaving a stop sign in a suburban area. I was driving a Beetle with a hot-rod motor with headers and a clapped-out glasspack. Feeling cheeky, I told the cop that I didn't think my Beetle was anywhere near as loud as his Harley. He had to think about that for a bit, but ultimately agreed with me and let me go without a ticket. I left, making a point to keep the revs way down to prevent him from changing his mind.
