A while back I came up with an idea to solve a problem of a lack of centerstand on my Triumph Speed Twin 900.
I printed a 3D prototype to test the critical dimensions.

I then designed a racy-looking model with reinforcement plates and sent my designs off to SendCutSend and awaited patiently for my plates to show up. Tried a tab-and-slot method to speed up assembly and removing having to lay shit out with a ruler and soapstone.
I machined a shoulder for a pin after work today out of 304, and also turned a ½" rod of 303 stainless down to 12mm (.472"). Used the compound slide set at 5⁰ to turn a taper and drilled a .156" hole for a ⅛" cotter pin.
Welded the hat to the pin first so that I could make sure the steel lift-bracket assembly wouldn't twist so much I wouldn't be able to put the pin thru.
Welded the lift-bracket assembly together, and for the most part it worked just like I dreamed. Ended up having to grind off the welds for one of the long tie-plates and removing that one, and also welded on some angle iron for reinforcement, but overall, works a treat.
No need to center the bike upright using my lift anymore.
Ready for chain and tire maintenance boss!
