Hard Start After Ride

I really would like to know if making a motor kickstart only is mostly out of preference, or does it actually serve a purpose for a more hassle-free start-up? Thanks,

I kickstart mine most all the time for the nostalgia and for impressing dogs and the occasional young lady sitting on the back of some posers ride at the gas station, BUT there are times when you may get into a real Charlie Foxtrot and the electric start is invaluable.

My starter works, but it doesn't sound healthy. I left it in place but just disconnected it until I can get around to going through it.

It seemed to turn slowly and not fully disengage when the motor fires. Little bit of grind on the back end.

But holy hell my foot is sore from kicking!
