Hi Guys, the rebuild is going good. Following the "top end buildup" instructions to the letter.

Due to a miscommunication my order for the copper head bolt sealing washers didn't come in. I timed the re-assembly to have everything together and ready for the washers and torque sequence.

Can't find any at Depot, Lowes, Ace, Auto Zone or any place else I've been to.

My original rubber coated ones are kind of trashy but... can I reuse them if I clean them up and coat both sides with Copper Coat Gasket Sealer. Or will that just be futile and a waste of time.

The point covers are in, head bolts lightly tightened down, waiting for the torque wrench.

Yes, I suppose you could reuse the old ones, just plan on changing them out when you finally can find the copper ones. A suitable copper washer can be had from a Suzuki dealer. This is what we used to use (I still do) before MikesXS started selling the brass ones .....

Armed with the size given in that 2nd link, you can also search them out on eBay .....

Yeah, if the originals are bad, you'll get a little weeping around them. Nothing that won't clean up when you get the coppers.
Here's a 50 pack for less than 15 bucks. They're only 1.5mm thick, but that should work just fine. Use 4 of 'em and put the rest up for sale here in the classies.... get your money back. ;)
Guess it depends on location, but I got mine from my local Ace Hardware.
