Head washers

Which head washers go where? Do the rubber ones go on the inside or outside. Have 4 metal and 4 rubber / metal ones. Does it really matter as long as theyre torqued. See someone used all copper instead of rubber ones. So I got confused since saw metal on outside. It looks like partzilla has rubber on the outside nuts. Should I change mine up or should I be using all metal washers? Swore rubber was on inside when I took it apart but maybe they had it wrong or I'm wrong. Thx for reading.

Pretty sure rubber goes on the inside 4, but I've replaced all mine with brass washers. Many here have done the same.

Outside gets the sealing washers because the channel is used as an oil passage. Inside is dry so solid washers work fine.

Do them two opposite at a time if they’re torqued down. Shouldn’t be an issue that way

If you switch to copper washers, make sure they're thick enough (3mm). 2mm isn't enough. I found some nice 3mm thick ones on Amazon. There's a link to them in this thread ......
