Hello from Notts, UK

How wild do you want to go? I built this for a mate of mine
He likes fat tyres so I had offset the chain 48mm
And this is it after painting

And this is a bobber I built earlier this year for my girlfriend
It's to her spec in bare metal
It runs, handles, brakes superbly but puffs a little smoke from the right cylinder when it's really hot but not enough for me to pull the engine again
It's worth uprating the front brake IMO

I might have to steal that idea of the shock absorber under the seat. Never seen that before.
I do it on all my rigid frame builds my back and my neck are fucked so I can't take a rigid seat on a rigid frame anymore
That one is actually twin shock and the shock fulcrum point is difficult to get right
But using twin shocks gives you multiple adjustments because each shock is 3 way adjustable plus you have damping which is equally as important on a sprung seat
The ride you get is nothing and I repeat nothing like a pair of springs that just bounce with no damping or adjustment
My BMW and yam are almost as comfortable as a full suspension bike

Reminds me of my 1942 HD flathead with its rigid frame and telescopic seat support 😛, don’t know how I was ever able to ride riding with seat on the frame - guess goes under the term young and dump !

I'm a fat 65 year old fabricator welder
I've built upwards of 50 chops bobbers cafe racers street fighters you name it
It can sometimes be cheaper to buy a really nice bike and sell off all the bodywork to offset the cost of building a custom bike
Great idea bazz,

That's nice mate, not sure I'd be able to handle a rake like that tho lol...do you scratch build your frames?
No I don't scratch build them I hard tail and single top tube them
The one in this photo is an off the shelf Harley custom frame
There's nothing wrong with a raked frame? Especially this one because it also has raked yokes which restores the trail
