Heritage Special Colors

I just bought a 83 Heritage Special ( vin #5V4 ) and it is blue. Does anyone know what colors the Heritage's came in? I will try to attach a picture of the bike. Thanks.

2 colors: New Yamaha Black and New Ruby Red.

I've only seen one or two New Ruby Red 83's but they do exist.

I LIKE that blue!
Sometimes if you pull the tank and look underneath you can see original colors. Not all the paint people get so detailed they will strip the underside that you don't see. pulling tank is easy and something you are most likely going to have to eventually do while working on it.

Yes, under side of tank is blue also as the same for the side covers.

There is a chance that if you carefully scrape some paint on the inside of the tank receivers (where the rubber pucks on the front mount) or on the bottom of the little tab at the back, you may find the original color. But what the heck, if you like that blue, let it be.
