Now I’m going to have to step up the rest of the build. I wasn’t planning on a shiny clean unit. I can feel my wallet getting lighter already.
That motor looks great! Go for it!

dude yes. Those handlebars are cool as f*ck....Found you a cheaper pairI’ve got a line on a good affordable powder coater. I haven’t been pleased with the local guy I’ve used in the past. I would have just painted it but weather here has turned to fall and temp aren’t great for painting. Nor am I in any position to attempt in my new garage. I also picked up a used set of Koni shocks I think I can make fit. I got them about a week ago so they went straight to the storage bin for the move. They need some love, but parts are available for them.

Also been eyeballing these. I’m not 100% how much I like them, but they are pretty cool. The lever perches are welded on smoothe. Thinking maybe these or a set of Webco’s.

Nothing else to update. Still trying to get my workshop together after the move.
In my mind, a 305 Scrambler needs a red frame, and silver engine and tank... the end.Maybe it will be worthy of a fancy paint job by you Jim? We will see how far down the rabbit hole I go. Right now I’m just dipping my toes in.
I know mine had a silver tank, but I don't recall the frame being red. Then again, it was 53 years ago, so...In my mind, a 305 Scrambler needs a red frame, and silver engine and tank... the end.
But then, I just paint.
We all have our own opinion on what "beauty" is. And rightly so. You be you, Rob.
All had the silver tank and iirc, the frame came in red, blue and black.I know mine had a silver tank, but I don't recall the frame being red. Then again, it was 53 years ago, so...

Two brothers, about a 1/2 mile away and I could hear those 2 farm kids coming up the road to town as soon as one of them started up...Ain't much sounds sweeter than a 180° twin on it's way to 9000 revs.
Sends a chill down my spine just thinking about it.
following!
Is this possibly who you are referring to? Read about the place on an old ADV forum post.Let Google be your friend. Search Honda CL77/CB77 parts. As I remember, there is a guy in Ohio that has lots of new and used parts that I used for my Superhawk restore.
