Somewhere down the road I hope to be able to provide good feedback on this product. I can't really comment on the two piece design but assume they must have had a reason as maching one part is less costly than two. I can say I am not very impressed with the fluid line. It is very stiff and I can see making a change, there to good flexible braided stainless line.

OK,,,
I REALLY like this concept. There appears to be several here who are experimenting or have some production going on.
DEFINATELY I am interested in one of these "kits". Someone who has a PROVEN DIY "bolt on" thing going on,,, please do PM me at your convenience.
And after reading the majority of posts here I do believe there is ample support for this.
Fred

Is there anyone using the xs650.de clutch slave hydraulic, and can tell me about how good it works?
Also, sharing some photos would be cool.
I am in the market for a hydraulic clutch, but would love to have one inside the case.
On the topics that i have found on this website, nobody said anything about how its lasted.

I am currently gathering parts for my build.
Thanks in advanced.

Hi Xander,
IMOH an XS650 hydraulic clutch conversion is an over-complicated fix.
Try improving the mechanical clutch action instead.
Re-bush the clutch lever, use a Teflon-lined cable and re-route the cable to have far less bends in it.

I made a clutch slave a while back, instead of using square or tapered section O rings for seals, I used hydraulic ram seals, they work extremely well and dion't require circlips to stop them popping out under pressure.

The slave is made to mount on the inside of the cover using the existing bolt holes. The slave exits the cover where the old screw type lever was installed so a banjo connection can be used. It requires the left side cover to be reamed out a little.

I've never bothered fitting it because I can't find any info on MC size I would need to operate it, the slave has a bore of 25mm, I think I'd need an MC with a bore less than 12mm, But I can't find one, so the hydraulic slave is on the backburner.

Interesting. What is it about hydraulic seals that they won't pop out as other seals might?

The ones I have have an extrusion on the outer circumference which sits in a groove I machined in the cylinder. The seals are quite hard, I blew 100psi though it and the seal never popped.
I don't know if all ram seals have this extrusion, but the ones I have have, and save having to use a circlip.

I actually googled it. Clever choice, I see some they even sell a tool to install them inside a tube. It kind of pulls it in on itself, like an exaggerated heart shape to get it in place.

What are your thoughts on the complete hydraulic clutch master cylinder and slave of the Husqvarna supermoto 701? An adapter will need to be fabricated. The slave looks sleek. Has any one done this? Would this work on the XS650?? See attached pictures. Appreciate your inputs and advice.
