Three tries later and my carburetors are still leaking. I installed new needles and seats and have checked the float levels three times and they still leak. 1971 xs1-b should be set at 25mm. At least that's what I have found. Any ideas?

The float needles in aftermarket carb kits are usually the incorrect length and will cause problems, but as mentioned check your floats. They will look fine but fuel will seep in them and weigh them down. Also as mentioned check the overflow tubes in the bowls very closely.

This is probably not a popular thought. If I didn't have vacuum peatcocks. I would probably have leaky carbs. I left my petcok on prime once and petro started leaking out of carb. Years ago. I'm going to remedy it thusthis season. I rode years like that.
Also does anyone know the correct spelling of petccock?
