installing rear turn signal mounts

Hello,
My bike didn't come with rear turn signals leading me to buy them from mikes. Now I'm looking at the mount and the hole it's supposed to go in. The hole is so much smaller than the mount, not to mention its round and the mount is teardrop shaped. Am I missing a bracket that these mounts fit in to? Did I order the wrong mounts? If everything looks right, how do you

get the mount in that hole?

You need a pair of chromed OEM brackets.

You could put those oval mounts aside and fab something like this.......

Yes, you're missing the little chrome mounting brackets. They bolt to the frame tab shown in your pics and they have the tear drop shaped hole in them you're looking for .....

Looks like he is missing the bracket from the diagram #21

..... and #22, they're right- and left-handed. Also, a couple of the special tear drop shaped washers that go on the back (#18).

Thank you all for the help. I was able to find the brackets on eBay. One was all the way from Germany. I feel really fortunate to have found both sides. Thanks again!
