It is but they beefed the cam giving it 27hp. Gets a pretty good write up on here, Comparable to the SR500

Just back from the Bike Bonanza meeting (used to be the Festival of 1000 Bikes until the VMCC pulled out) which was a celebration of 50 years of the Yamaha TZ 750. Also loads of BSA/Triumph triples and umpteen other bikes of all shapes & sizes.
However, this, for me, was the standout bike of them all. Fantastic build quality & attention to detail. I love it.
