I whole heartedly agree with that sentiment. The flex in it is far more than noticeable. Were it mine, they would go. It would also lose the wrap and probably the forward controls. It would gain mufflers and a front fender. It's a good build, just not getting ridden.Classy. But with those apes . . .

Unless things have changed, the police only intervene in extreme violations during Bike Weeks. The bikers bring too much money into Volusia County. They aren't risking that. As far as the motorcycle in question, those grips aren't above my shoulders. I'm a bit on the tall side. So is the owner.was Watching you tube Daytona Bike Week ..It was said that handles was not allowed higher than the Shoulders .. In Florida Police could intervene .
Back in the day... the Cycle Press, in dirtbike tests would comment about how close the countershaft sprocket was to the swingarm pivot to minimize chain tension change. Yes, I am that old...Some bikes like the older BMW 450 off-road bike had the countershaft centered in the swingarm pivot so chain tension never changed, unless of course the chain wore, same idea but newer with a fixed engine
The whole bike is.That engine is a work of art.
I think kids go through an "apes" phase sometimes... My son sent me a pic of him on his home built "with an adjustable spanner" '47 panhead in a '57 hardtail frame, springer with magenta flames... Now he rides an '80 special and a "Callender" tracker...Classy. But with those apes . . .
To me that is retro crap, the Triumph (sorry!) of form over function. But I'm sure many folk will have bought one and truly love it. It's great that we're all different.View attachment 346037Interesting or modern retro crap?
Yeah it looks cool but so does the speed twin and it probably costs as much. That is the look that I was going with my chopper build but never got a triumph tank.To me that is retro crap, the Triumph (sorry!) of form over function. In 2006 I took one on a test ride then the Speed triple. I went for the young hot chick, she was fast, scary and couldn't ride for very long without my hands going to sleep. I still have it thoughI liked my 2007 T100 Bonneville a lot. It reminded me so much of my old XS650C back in the 70's, I bought my 650D and sold the Bonneville!

Worst designed bike in the Trumpet range for me. Rear wheel looks to detached from the bike; especially in the flesh.View attachment 346037Interesting or modern retro crap?
Not sure about this. I love flat trackers and this is sort of like one. Individual bits, trellis frame , V-engine, USD forks etc are great. But does it all hang together?View attachment 346042
Same question?
Pretty decent bike though more of a Hooligan bike than a flat track wanna be. And base price is a bargain at $11k USNot sure about this. I love flat trackers and this is sort of like one. Individual bits, trellis frame , V-engine, USD forks etc are great. But does it all hang together?
Had a friend who went to Daytona to see the races, not to party and be stupid. He told me that the hotel owners liked the motorcyclists far more than the college kids on spring break. The "bikers" didn't trash the rooms or sneak out without paying their bills and were polite.Unless things have changed, the police only intervene in extreme violations during Bike Weeks.
