Interesting motorcycles, not XS650

To me that is retro crap, the Triumph (sorry!) of form over function. But I'm sure many folk will have bought one and truly love it. It's great that we're all different.
I agree
It's definitely not for me but I understand why people like them,it's like the whole "triumph" thing it's not an old triumph and it never will be
It's not made in the UK it's just another fashion but what the hell if people are out on two wheels it's great
I have a t160 I'd been trying to get one for forty years
And I've no doubt that my bike is made in the UK not Thailand with made in England written on it
Just my opinion

Had a friend who went to Daytona to see the races, not to party and be stupid. He told me that the hotel owners liked the motorcyclists far more than the college kids on spring break. The "bikers" didn't trash the rooms or sneak out without paying their bills and were polite.
I have talked to many Daytona merchants in my many years of going there. Bikers spend a ton of money and cause few problems, Number 2 are the Hot Rodders, they spend a lot and as they're generally older, don't cause problems. The NASCAR crowd spend most of their money at the speedway. and the Spring breakers.... yeah, trouble.

If you turn your back on those bikers, the bikes are going in the room!

Street fighters are cool enough but the Ducati 600 Monster from around 2000 was way cooler. Different strokes and all...
I've been seeing those for relatively inexpensive but they are usually high miles, covered in carbon fiber and chewed up frame sliders, and seem like they would be very expensive to fix. I test rode a HyperMotard before getting the triple. It was jerky and the clutch was way harder to find that point but I was also a new rider. Funny story, I got lost on that test ride and was gone like 2 hours and couldn't find the dealership. It was right before closing, dude wasn't happy.

Here's my CB750 I built about 12 years ago...

Here is a lovely RD350 I noticed when walking around Monmouth yesterday; one for the Stink Wheelers amongst us.

Just had flashback memories of my YR5 when the gearbox shaft seized and snapped off at 90+ mph
It locked up and didn't break free until I got to around 20mph with me skidding up the road holding it upright and stamping on the gear lever
Someone had challenged me to a race at the weekend,he had a jock Kerr big bore Honda G5 bored to 350?
And I was testing the yam ready for the burn up
Anyone remember the jock Kerr stuff?

Sure like the 2 smokes. Finished this 2 yr. project off last summer. Bought it from an old dirt riding buddy.
It sat in the garage after being looped with heavy crash damage, then his Buell fell over on it and nailed the tank.
Crank seized, rods seized, pistons. The crank looked worse than the carbs. Just got a new un-cracked frt. fender from Europe. Need a credit card trauma counselling session.😏
