I had a rental Thunderbird for weeks while I was a tech rep for the Navy in Norfolk VA. They might have forgiven the roof rack scratches from hauling my windsurfer up and down the coast but a buddy (asshole) puking all over (ALL OVER) the interior 2 hours before we were due on board the aircraft carrier took alot of explaining on the expense report.

To make up for it's small displacement a mechanical supercharger geared at 6.374:1 ratio to engine speed provided forced induction.
Hotrodders are everywhere. One model used two large turbochargers in addition to the supercharger, it delivered 4,300 horsepower (3,200 kW). Engines weighed 3,482–3,870 lb (1,579–1,755 kg), giving a power-to-weight ratio of 1.11 hp/lb (1.82 kW/kg).
They were not very robust, cooling issues.
Hey Jim; compression is down on the rear bank, swap in rebuilt cylinders, get it done before lunch. Later.
