Interesting motorcycles, not XS650

I find it hard to believe that any T160 would reach 160mph or was it kph? I know I was able to draft past one at Daytona on my old XS2 based production (stock) racer. All it had was timing, valve adjustment, open exhausts and an oil change. In fairness the Triumph triple rider worked on his engine all weekend.
I don't know how fast we were going on the speedway but I feel confident it was less that 160mph :lmao:

Yes, by the time the T160 was released you might see a true 115 or 120mph on a very good day. Extra weight and stricter emissions regulations were taking a heavy toll on motorcycle performance in the mid 70's.

In the real world back then, a well ridden RD350 would almost certainly be faster from A to B most times. (Real world quicker than an XS650 too).

My Daytona T100 500cc topped out at 110MPH.

STOCK and with vm34's for a much better tuning experience. (Amal's suck!)

My Tiger T120 650cc topped out at 120MPH.

Damn, those things handled way better than the jap bike on the market.

never had a T140 or T160,,, always wanted the diamond jubilee edition.
