Interesting motorcycles, not XS650

Been to China many times (work), starting in 1989 when things were very different. In the early days, before a lot of modernization on all fronts, there was a form of "tractor"...this reminded me of that.

I called them "Gravely's", as they looked similar i.e. a two-wheeled contraption with a motor, handlebars and a little trailing dolly, and behind that, whatever you can imagine...a delivery trailer, liquid tank, a concrete mixer, ad infinitum. Not that they didn't have big trucks, but this was the "every man" work vehicle. I'll see it I can find a pic.

Kinda like this, although this is a more "modern ' version. The original ones I saw had some kind of a exposed drive on one side i.r. belt, centrifugal clutch, aso.

around central MD (Baltimore area), my old Polish farmer grandfather called them David Bradley's (common brand here). He had a Montgomery Ward walk-behind made either by Midland or Simplicity.

My grandpa's Gravely had a motor, Kohler 12hp (?) and a forward facing output shaft. A recip brush cutter and ~ 34" rotary lawn mower blade bolted up to the face around the output shaft. When I was a wee lad I did points and a floatbowl drain (rebuild :smoke:) then tied a knot into a length of rope and it started up second pull. One summer I used the recip to keep an industrial lot attached to a family business cleared of overgrowth. $1 an hour and I was happy...

I tried to upload the video. They had that thing up to 22MPH. Crazy retired Honda mechanics.

Anyone want/need a David Bradley, I have one out in the shed, it has a snow blade and also a sickle bar mower and I think I have most of the cultivator attachment. Many moons ago used it to cut the weeds in what became our lawn.
