Do you know any more about that Yamaha Whippet? Was it a production bike?
Here are some photos of the bikes on our local CVMG Section Chili Run on Sunday Nov. 6. BTW - it was nearly 21C or about 70 deg. F that morning. There were about 20 very nice bikes including two running (!!) Moto Guzzi's, a couple of BMWs and at least three XS650s plus some cool British bikes.

While I was searching for parts for my brother's TZR250 I came across references to another 250, maybe SDR250(?) for the German market.

Its funny about weather: during the summer, a 70 deg. F day would be seen as chilly and pretty marginal, but in November, everyone agrees that it is a glorious outburst of the good of Mother Nature at her very best.
SDR200 was the type designation. I believe it shared the basic engine with the DT200. 195 cc liquid cooled 2 stroke single. 34 hp and 115 kg wet weight. I would love to have one....

I am searching for a "deep" red for my current 650 project. Came across this.
I assume you mean a deep red paint colour....
I think that Dodge RAM trucks - about 2010 or so have a colour that looks like that.
After you, Ads, surely a snip at £41,000 and heck, you even get two keys, workshop manual and a branded Norton paddock stand for that.
