Is it my turn? Anything to do with lathes, mills and other shop tools

A couple of ball turners I made a few years ago. Just a project, only used it for making a Delrin panel hammer so far. I wanted one that could mount in the tool post and could be used either in front of or behind the chuck. The welded up one was just a trial, it worked well, so I made a few improvements to it. Again, all done on the lathe using a vertical slide.

I’m about to inherit these due to my Dads eyesight failing. Gotta learn a little more about how to use them.View attachment 199976View attachment 199977

Just one of the many sellers of parts and kits based on the (Gecko) g540. Not an endorsement of these people but who knows , they may turn out to be human.

Most of you will want to muck about in Freeman's garage a bit. Interesting fellow.

Today's project; getting this home.

With the head over sideways and handles off, there's an inch of width to spare to get it in Allison's horse trailer. And it will be within the GVWR. Roads aren't going to be the best today, but only 40 miles away. What could go wrong?
The head is about 2" less than my garage ceiling and it's kind of a space hog with a 50" table. Acer 3VK 3hp R8, 2 axis DRO, X and spindle power feeds, one shot oiler. It looks pretty clean. Just a set of collets and hold down clamps with it. Ordered a VFD to power it.
Moving it with the Skid steer is going to be dicey, weighs north of 3K.

Steel, the original jaws only give you about a 1/4 of depth to grab big parts. I needed a bit more depth for flywheels and dirtbike cranks.
Inquiring minds; did you mill the Ls then finish with some skim cuts on the lathe?

A small project, made a "spill proof" cutting oil can from a tuna tin. Found this idea on YouTube, believe his user is "Tubalcain"
Fyi, my lathe is a TOZ SN40 B, made in Czechoslovakia, sometime in the late 70s. 5kW 3 phase motor, 1 m (40") between centers, 2" spindle bore, 700 mm swing in gap, 220 mm swing over slide, 410 mm swing over bed. So definitely big enough for any motorcycle related stuff
