I appreciate that, and see where your coming from. As far as this scoot goes, I've known the guy forever and he does shit like this frequently. Gets a project in his mind, works on it for a week or so then it's completely forgotten about, until he stumbles across it a year later and goes "oh yeah!!! This thing!" And gets excited and repeats the cycle. If I had to guess, he probably doesnt even remember he even brought a scooter over here, haha. He is frequently drunk, which helps to explain the aforementioned behavior. Part of me feels like if the scooter were to disappear, it might be in his best interest considering I KNOW his ass would be driving it around drunk all the time, flirting with death or DUI conviction. If it wasnt THIS person, I would feel differently and would agree with your statement, but I think In this instance, it'd be just fine if that scooter went to a new owner... In fact, id go so far as to say it'd be better, in the long run, for everyone.Nothing more expensive than a free horse. On top of that you're trading something that doesn't belong to you. I would agree that if the guy gave a damn about the scooter, he could have at least returned your calls. More likely the type to show up a week after it's gone saying he tried to get ahold of you, the bike was worth x, he made a deal to sell it for x, wtf bro? Just my 2cents for free.
And if by some insanity he did come over and felt some kind of way about me getting rid of it, Im sure I could just be like "Hey, sorry bro, I thought you were never comin back for that shit, my bad. You want me to build you one of these guitars or somethin to make up for it?" Ive got a number of guitars in different states of disassembly because I like to buy them cheap customize them and flip them, it's kind of a hobby I drift into and out of. I know he would be more than psyched to have me build one up for him and it would totally squash any hard feeling about the scoot scoot. if it even comes to that. Lol
