Once again Noralee is our brand ambassador into the lives of normal people around the world, she is showing, despite what the mainstream media tells us that humanity is basically good and these Kurdish folks are amongst the nicest people she has met over the years. Some more beautiful scenery again including an old road built by a NZ engineer (Hamilton I think) and ancient Kurdish tribesmen. She has caught a cold so I’m not sure we will see her enter Iraq proper by Sunday.

Noraly is up and at it. Heading for Iran, but the stress has take its toll. She has lost her voice. I think she should rest for a week and begin again.

Boy I was starting to worry, I have ridden big thumpers my whole life and every one has a cold start ritual, looks like she found Frankie’s but she really needs to get the wiring replaced or fixed.
It looks like there is no way to get the proper visa to go into Iraq proper from Kurdistan Iraq so she is going to make a short excursion into Iran in order to get the proper paperwork for her Journey down the Euphrates. I sure admire her desire to move on no matter what the world throws at her but it’s hard to imagine things getting any easier for a single woman the farther south she goes.

I can not remember which episode it was but a guy asked her how old she was? She replied 37. He said his wife had 5 (?) children at that age, why have not you? She replied "Freedom!"

She forgot to buy a head scarf, I think the penalty in Iran is jail time good thing she also forgot her passport.

Some countries they actually do hold them at the hotel, but she just forgot it on the counter.

Maybe mentioned before in this thread but seems a pita to plug and unplug the wire to start and stop the bike. A simple toggle switch would be better. If she’s using that a theft deterrent she could use the toggle switch through the day and remove it overnight.
