Not saying it would never happen to her.
Her advantage is her high internet profile. Iran does rely on tourism so if she was detained without a word and disappeared, even Iran would realise the backlash wouldn't bode well.
Iran and the Netherlands have strong trade relations as well. Nationality has advantages, I never got nationalised as an Australian in part due to an Australian passport put more of a target on your back due to the close relationship to the US, when it came to travel
People think they are backward, far from it, their culture is the cradle of civilisation even if todays interpretation on the Koran has been hijacked by extreamists

If you haven’t been keeping up with Noraly, things have been real interesting lately. She just passed through Pakistan and entered Taliban controlled Afghanistan. She was taken into a room and interrogated immediately upon entering the country and the Taliban is tracking her movements. She seems to be taking it in stride, and most folks seem friendly to her, but the Taliban is very scary. Women are completely oppressed and controlled there. I hope she gets through safely.
Well for those of you still following Itchy Boots, she just finally left Taliban ruled Afghanistan ( thank God! ) those guys were scary. Especially when they pulled her into some compound a couple times for interrogation. 
She just entered Tajikistan, which is still an authoritarian regime, but not women hating religious zealots!
A night and day difference in modernity. Afghans dirt road and mud brick buildings gave way to modern cars, roads and buildings. One note of interest, the roads were busy with Chinese made electric taxis.

What I have heard in some cultures -- even if the Women are oppressed they have a family .And Clans
If Treating a woman wrong. Not following the Cultural rules.
It can be a matter of family Honor and Reputation Disrespecting the Whole Family.
There are of course .. different sizes and more or less important clans . But that is unknown at the situation.
Get it wrong they can cut your Throat .
Or the balls ..
So no one can do as they please towards unknown women ,,and it is known. Social skills. .
Everywhere in the world there are dangerous places but it is not certain that an otherwise oppressed woman are not safe at daytime at
" Normal " places.

So you like to fight --- Beating the man .. What I hear the Police is not acting
It is a Family affair not a Police matter within limits.

Wow! This thread has been quiet for a while! I’m still keeping up with her, she is currently in Mongolia, what an empty country! If you want to see miles and miles ……and more miles of empty space, Mongolia is the place to be! Still interesting though!
But that is not what I wanted to talk about. If you’ve been keeping up, she went back home for a while because she’s been kinda beat up. While she was there she was really working on getting healthy, proper diet and working out in the gym. And man it shows, she’s like an Olympic athlete these days.
In today’s episode, AFTER seven straight hours of off-road riding, when she got to her stop for the day she decided she need to go for a run. A full 5K run, not on a road or a trail but over natural terrain. She came back and said “ whew that felt good!”
Amazing woman….and getting near the end of her final destination, Japan.

I'm not big on hypocrisy, especially when it's calculated to pander to an audience for the purpose of gaining or retaining popularity. She cancelled her plans to come the US because red-hat guy made it unsafe, then goes where?

It doesn't always have to be about politics. You don't like her politics? Fine, you have constitutionally guaranteed right to ignore her. You don't have to rain on everyone else's day though.

You haven't answered the question. Mailman made a positive comment about Noraly taking her health more seriously and making good progress to that end. Why bring up her cancelling her US book tour?

Agree, seems pretty normal to me also... which was why I questioned your original post. Mailman's comment was a positive one about her health and new found energy. You could have followed in that vein, disagreed, agreed... any number of responses. Instead you quoted mailman, and then instead of "..... questions/comments on what was actually said", you had to let us all know you're still butt hurt 'cause Noraly decided not to come to the US.
If you hadn't quoted mailman's post, then I'd have just ignored your comment, as I do with about 99% of your other comments. But you did quote him... and then proceed to let us know how you felt about her being scared of the US... which is completely unrelated to comment you quoted.

Noraly had her passport stamped in Yemen. I believe that alone would be problematic for visiting the U.S. I’m not sure how one could remedy that situation.
