Is Mach number reference to speed of sound at sea level? 957 mph at 70000 feet is close to 2 times the speed of sound at that altitude IIRC. I recall the U2/TR1 was limited to ~500 mph because faster was the speed of sound at 80000 ft.

I got hooked watching YouTube videos of these ultralight trikes, they have a lot more goin on than just a powered hang glider. They look super easy to fly, they come with a full suite of instruments and radios.

Then I was watching another video, slightly different aircraft, but the guy got suddenly caught in some very gusty , windy conditions and he was suddenly bobbing around like a cork in the ocean.

Any of you fly boys ever try one of these? They look like fun…..on a calm day. 😎
