Not quite sure if this is the right place? Like most of us here, grew up with WW2 as very recent history and me Mum told me a lot about the war. A time of great social change. Everybody was mobilised, women became a crucial part of the workforce - industry, agriculture, civil defence, forces. Including of course aircraft - Mosquitos, Lancasters, Tempests, etc were all built by a largely female workforce. This little song by Gracie Fields, huge in British popular culture in them days, just seems to catch something of the mood or wartime Britain.

Putting it here because surely the song refers to building aero engines?

I can't pretend to be a great celebrity
But still, I'm quite important in me way
The job I have to do may not sound much to you
But all the same, I'm very proud to say:

I'm the girl that makes the thing
That drills the hole, that holds the ring
That drives the rod, that turns the knob
That works the thingummy-bob

I'm the girl that makes the thing
That holds the oil, that oils the ring
That takes the shank, that moves the plank
That works the thingummy-bob

It's a ticklish sort of job
Making a thing for a thingummy-bob
Especially when you don't know what it's for

But it's the girl that makes the thing
That drills the hole, that holds the ring
That makes the thingummy-bob that makes the engines roar

And it's the girl that makes the thing
That holds the oil, that oils the ring
That makes the thingummy-bob that's going to win the war

Thank you for that...

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm....

"Empty Weight 313 pounds"

"8 x 112 lb. electric motors" with 2 batteries each.

What am I missing here? I mean, besides a zero...

Each motor weighs 4 lb (2 kg) and produces 130 lb (59 kg) of thrust.

This from Wikipedia and, as we all know, Wikipedia is never wrong.
