Was that a cold start on the motor no smoke at all and no flames in exhaust . No rattle from motor I can hear

Yes, well maintained and we'd run it the the evening prior... so it hadn't had time for oil to pool in the cylinders or exhaust.
Plus it's a V-12. They don't smoke on startup like a radial can.
Also, there were flames in the exhaust. Just it was too damn bright out for the camera to pic it up.
Oshkosh arrival mayhem

I flew into Oshkosh a couple times but NEVER during Airventure.
I guess Oshkosh is sort of the aircraft equivalent of Sturgis or Daytona Bike Week. Basically way to crowded.....

I a few times back in the day got money in an envelope
Picked up the pay at the tool storage window. Coins also.
It stopped partly because some went to the bar and spent it causing problems for wife and family.
I have at times worked without contract cash in hand .Nice ..No large amounts
$ 200 a pop or .Still feels good.
Back in the day there was fixers having big Pocket books could look like that below.
Used cars live stock and Fish trading Scrap metal everything wheeling and dealing not many receipts and not many taxes
Every slot could be full of large banknotes
so it was hard to close
It was certainly more concrete when the deal came down to him opening his wallet. " The Leather " in slang
You could see it sometimes Ouhh hhhhh ..all right
He’s apparently on a roll in business.
