... yeah, beavers.... now don't get me started... wait... we can't be slighting our national animal ;)! I may have said it before, but what other country has picked an f'n rodent as a national animal???

PS: The answer is none!
Can't see nuffin wrong with the beaver being Canada's national animal, can't see nuffin wrong with it being a rodent neither.

Scotland chose the unicorn as its national animal, a mythical creature. Mind you, Ads please correct me if I'm wrong, Wales chose the dragon, another mythical creature. Is there a pattern here?

Nowt mythical about a Dragon Raymond. You just have to know where to look….
……. Mine is just coming down the stairs for her dinner!

Mrs C can breathe fire at times, but I love her nevertheless 🥰

You can hunt for unicorns in Michigan with a proper license.

Mopping up fall colors today, it made it to 80F with lots of humidity. Had to watch it a bit the roads were sweating in shaded areas!
Rode the honda,

when my back started hurting came back and swapped to Madness for another 50 (s)miles ;^)

Very steep hill on Hogsback Road

Came back to read the sign, it didn't disappoint.

powerline work they use the giant "skids" to prevent soil compaction.

Got off cheap ( again !)
Well…. Not as cheap as i thought! Looks like I’m doing a clutch and basket . I don’t know if was the impact or the power shifting home without a clutch, but new cable and with proper adjustments, I’ve got little plate release when the lever is pulled in.
I’ll tear it down over the winter and not at midnight like it is now lol.
Was on my list anyway!

I like what you've done with the logo. That's one part of the bike that I would like to change. Of all the Japanese manufacturers I think Yamaha has the worst font for their logo. Tall, all caps, It's like it's screaming at you. It looks like something you see on a sign warning you of some hazard

This is just my opinion of course. I like the shape of the tanks alright but would love to find someone who can create different badges that can bolt on for the specials tanks. Mine is in pretty good shape and I don't want to fill it in with filler. Ever heard of anything like that?

MikesXS has this one for your Special.
Better, I just wish we had more options, I know that you can get a stick on emblem of the tuning forks but I read somewhere that they don't stay on. I suppose you could bolt whatever you want to it as long as you can drill two holes in it. Might look dumb but would be original. Lots of dumb looking choppers created in an effort to be original out there. Yeah, that one looks best.

Leaves aren't the only thing in the trees.
A young fellow I mentored some while he was here in the states in the nineties told me of when he was learning his trade back in England. As a gag at the first shop he worked at some guys took his bicycle, lifted it up with a fork lift and lowered it over a lamp pole. He came out end of day to find his bike laying on the ground on it's side with a pole growing up through the diamond frame.
Peak color is here, a bit muted but it'll be fading next week. Dry as a bone haven't rain in two months.

Damned Japanese beetles are here now, thousands of them little bustards, they pinch too.
Hasn't rained in GA in over a month, as for Jap beetles, they give my wife's Knockout Roses hell. I "pinch" them, typically they gather in the blossoms so I can get a few at a time

Resto, from Winnipeg did a LOT of work and poured pewter tank badges and side cover badges.

I kinda messed, mixed, up the script tanks there's a standard tank for madness with Yamaha in smaller script.
Oh! I didn't catch that at first, the guy in the group called resto made these. Friggin awesome! I'm reading that thread now.

With 3D printing everywhere these daze, It shouldn't be too hard to get sets done in plastic.... @Downeaster ?
I have a coworker that makes fishing lures and other stuff out of plastic, probably on a 3d printer. i'll ask him if I ever go back to work, I've been on the injured list for over a month. That's how I found the bike, I was bored and started surfing the web
