Just Ride.

P.S. @gggGary , you did an unofficial Iron butt ride a couple years ago. I tried searching for it but no luck. If you come across it could you maybe post a link? 😉
In his Madness thread.

38°, misting, and grey. Still nice enough to put on my holiday best and take a short ride on some winding back roads.

Brined roads be damned. 50F, had to get a bike out. There were a few bikes out. Out along the Wisconsin River and marshes near Portage.

note to self; brine/salt on painted lines is SLICK! Lots of snow boarders on the slopes!
Nice ride that re-enforced the Honda AT DCT is a good set up. But menus, buttons still too complicated.:umm:
Only rode the Honda, cleaning salt off one bike will be plenty..

Beautiful weather here, but cannot go for a ride as my shocks have been with Progressive for two weeks. Had a set of 12 series that I replaced in March and one of the shocks started to mist oil. Progressive requires faulty shocks to be sent in for replacement. Would not even take my money to hold in reserve when I asked to send me a pair beforehand. Granted, they were off for a week for Thanksgiving, but facts are facts. Two weeks and counting. No word on when or if I am getting the replacements back.

For those that have never been out that way here are a few photo's we took not to long ago as we were coming back from our trip around Lake Superior. Coming from the east I always try to go Devils Tower then head over to Sheridan to pick up 14A. 14A winds (very twisty and scenic) up to beautiful alpine meadows from either the east or west into open grazing for cattle and sheep. After doing 14A you can do Beartooth Highway and then take Cheif Joseph Highway (last photo). So many good rides

Wow! That is some stunning scenery. You have some awfully pretty scenery in your neck of the woods too, my folks used to live in Pocatello Idaho, and I can’t remember where exactly I saw it, but it was so where along the Snake River
( I think ) , there was a volcanic cliff edge that skirted along the highway , the rock was porous and water flowed through it until it hit this cliff edge, then the water just gushed out of the cliff into all these waterfalls. It was quite stunning.
Have you ever seen it?

On the trip around Lake Superior we stayed in Duluth Minnesota after visiting Aerostich. When I was younger and living in Minneapolis we used to ride up to Duluth and cool off from the summer heat. Usually a few degrees cooler along the shore of Lake Superior. This is a shot of Duluth harbor and the lift bridge with a full moon

The north side of the Snake River is where the Snake River Aquifer spills out into the river.... obviously.
I rode my jet ski from Strike Dam Reservoir to Twin Falls and back once. Late spring... I lost count of the waterfalls coming out of the north cliff/bank. There's tons of 'em.

Oh to be young and stupid again... 😁
That was a solo trip. So maybe not quiet that stupid...

Edit: jus' remembered there was 2 of us. So not super stupid, I guess....

Can't say I have seen that down by Pocatello. But not far in Twin Falls are the Shoshone falls on the Snake River. We stopped by there on the way to Phoenix last spring. We put on about 20,000 miles last year

Ok, I found it. It’s called Thousand Springs State Park, and there are several locations where water just shoots out the side of the cliffs. It’s really amazing to see.
