Wow, have to put that on the list. Spring would be fantastic i bet
Well the replacements came in, but they forgot to remount my stiffer springs, nor did they remember to ship the springs to me. After I called Progressive, they shipped the springs separately, but to a wrong address. With the Christmass holiday I will not likely to see the springs until mid January. That will have been two months for the exchange.Beautiful weather here, but cannot go for a ride as my shocks have been with Progressive for two weeks. Had a set of 12 series that I replaced in March and one of the shocks started to mist oil. Progressive requires faulty shocks to be sent in for replacement. Would not even take my money to hold in reserve when I asked to send me a pair beforehand. Granted, they were off for a week for Thanksgiving, but facts are facts. Two weeks and counting. No word on when or if I am getting the replacements back.
Put the replacement shocks on with standard springs and went out for a quick ride between rounds of rain. Had to dial up preload to the limit, but the suspension felt pretty good actually. The idle was a bit uneven after five weeks of sitting, but cleared up after a few miles.Well the replacements came in, but they forgot to remount my stiffer springs, nor did they remember to ship the springs to me. Last Tuesday 50s nice ride. Too cold to go up on high so I went north instead. 2 Hr loop.
The land bridge over the Basic Revisor. Mr Man took a close look at me in passing,
decided nothing to see here LOL. Ran like a champ.
Haven't put the bike up yet but I've got a feeling the season's over, we'll see.
Wayyy cold coming. Get it when the gettins good!

Variety is the spice of life. Good on him to be riding in the winter.Has this become a Harley Forum ??? WTF?
.
I find Sportsters appealing, pretty much the same way I find my old Yamahas appealing.Has this become a Harley Forum ??? WTF?

Solar farms are becoming more and more commonplace. Seems anywhere they find a field they're putting them in.That Sporty looks just right in that setting. Made me look up Basic Reservoir and learn just a wee bit more about the Albany area.
Even found the extensive solar farms close by the reservoir.
Vermont banned billboards in 1968 to eliminate visual clutter but now we have fields full of solar panels. Maybe they should put up scenic billboards to hide the solar panels.Solar farms are becoming more and more commonplace. Seems anywhere they find a field they're putting them in.
Not very appealing to the eye. Electric prices still rising fast.
Dunno, so many here are multi bike/brand, keeping posting/interest up, is needed if the forum is to avoid the fate of so many other brand-model forums. This time of year ANY photo of someone getting out, riding is a bright spot in my day.My comment was not about the Harley, guys. I almost bought a Harley last year.
My comment was about this forum, which seems to be gradually losing its identity.
If I bought the Harley, I would find a Harley forum to show it off in.

I don’t think that’s quite true yet. My prediction would be that it stays XS650 centric until we all simply die off. Yamaha triples forums died, XS11 forums are diminished as examples. This is still relevant. We still have parts and the ability to ride the motorcycle. My comment was about this forum, which seems to be gradually losing its identity.
Oh I crave the blue sky and distant horizon..My annual “ freeze your ass off ride”
The number of winter days that dip below freezing here, can usually be counted on one hand. I usually try to go for a ride on the coldest day of winter…..just because. Well this morning was 29 degrees Fahrenheit / 1.6 degrees Celsius , so today was the day. The sun came up at 7:30 and by 8:15 I was on my way. I rode around the edge of town today, always sticking to the perimeter roads, near the mountains. I rode for a couple hours and had a very pleasant morning.
