Just Ride.

What a great travelogue Adam! It’s so enjoyable for desert dweller like myself to see such green, lush and historical countryside! Thanks for the guided tour of your beautiful part of the world!

I think I have done enough Castles & history for now (trust me there is plenty more 😂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿).
Maybe think of a new theme to ride……… watch this space 🤔

Not much to say about a ride to work but between the weather, a family trip to a Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen (driving those roads in a family car will make you wish you had the bike) I haven’t gotten out on the XS much. After a bit of seasonal maintenance last week she still started on the first kick this morning, kept up beautifully, and reminded me what’s so fun about these nimble little bikes. (Sporty in the background belonged to a client.)

Second pic was just my noticing upon my return how much I like the way things line up on my bike.

Day was winding down, I'm getting close to having turnsignals on the TX. But the back road's call could be resisted no longer.
Knocked off the dust, polished out a couple scuffs where electrical tape from a GPS wire had been whipping on the gas tank (Sorry Jim! It won't happen again) Stopped, gassed up, zoom zoom.

Turkeys outnumbered deer 6 to 1! If they fly I don't think ANYONE knows which way it's going.....

I want a set of those handlebars for my bike! Who makes them and where did you get them?

Hey JD get some piccies on your next outing; its great to see other peoples surroundings.
;)
I only got a couple but didn't get to download them yet. I'll edit them in
later. It always seems that as you see the perfect shot you're already past it,
then it's u turn watch the guy behind and the guy heading towards you
then u turn again, find the spot, shut down ...
Wifey says I need a go pro as we were having this same discussion yesterday
I'm not much of a tech guy :umm: We'll see.

I’m old school camera tech too. Mostly my Fujifilm XT1 camera and my iPhone11.
Just use what you got; my ride reports generally get good responses from the guys here.
GoPro + fitting gear is expensive; then you’ll want a bloody drone next. That money is better than spent on your bike in my opinion. Keep it simple and enjoy the ride.

Stopped at a dog cart, Mt Tremper. mustard chili and onions. The Esopus creek runs right behind his location,
west and east, We've had a ton of rain lately and I'm really suprised it's not a lot higher.

A quick stop in Phonicia for gas then on to Shandakin.
North up Cty 42, winding the way to Lexington.
West to Prattsville, a stop a few miles before. The Schoharie creek.

Picked up a couple deer ticks getting this shot. No cash grass or ... I left them behind.
Off to Prattsville then back over the top to Durham.

Just east of Prattsville. Durhan, Freehold for a beverage then home. It's a lot prettier when you're moving.
It always is. :bike:

Great sceanery. If it wasn't for the double yellow road markings (we dont have them) that looks very similar to my South Wales area.
I would love to fish that river too. Nice ride.
