Close examination there are differences tween yours and the one I found, train wreck on left the biggy, repainted? Pretty likely eh?
The motorcycle in the image is a Triumph Speed Triple.

It is powered by a 1,050cc DOHC inline-triple engine.

Features include twin chrome headlights, dual front Brembo brakes, and a single-sided swingarm.

The exhaust system consists of chrome underseat mufflers.

This model is commonly categorized as a "naked" sportbike or streetfighter

Yeah they did but I never realized that they changed it. I always thought it was creepy but it's an old film that was shot near there and the only interesting thing I could find close to pose by. I also didn't realize that my plate number would be in the shot. Everyone online I see covers theirs, should I be doing that? What's the worst that could happen?

Meh everyone sees your license plates everyday how is online different?
I don't cover my plate numbers in photos. Then again I don't own a document shredder either.
Mebby if you are selling they can link to an address but you can't get owner info from a plate number these dayz unless you got law enforcement on your payroll.
Back in the day we could walk into the Wisconsin DMV in Madison and they'd let us in the records rooms to pull card files and find owner's info from the plate #. It was one of our buy sell tools LOL. A different world eh?

Cool, thanks for the answer, I figured but with all the online con schemes going on I thought maybe. I just got a bill from Fed-ex for something I actually ordered from CMSL for shipping. Seemed odd to me because I received the parts weeks ago, I've never been billed after the fact, and I usually chose standard shipping. Then I saw QR code options to pay on a couple of the pages and thought it must be a scam. Either way it doesn't matter to me because I already have the parts. If Fed-ex wants to come looking for me they can but there's no way I'm scanning a QR code. I know this ain't the right thread to ask but has anyone else run into something like this?

Sounds scam-like to me. Clearly things might work a bit differently to here in the UK, but it's normal for a carrier to delay on a delivery until taxes and fees have been paid up front. I would not pay supposed tax or fees after something has been delivered and definitely not pay by scanning a QR code.

I'm sure the carrier will contact you directly if there's genuinely tax or fees to be paid.

CMSL paid FedEx. I’m sure they have an account. If FedEx was shorted, they’d go to CMSL. Scams all over these days.

This has turned into the "don't be taken for a ride" segment of "Just Ride", my bad. Thing is, I did take it out again today but no pics so It didn't really happen. I've been going on short rides to assess fixes that I have done to determine if they stay fixed. As for the features, gggGary got most of it right but left out : a helium filled front tire, lightweight plastic fuel tank that likes to implode when the breather gets pinched, clogged installed backwards, a charging system good for at least 4K miles, and a wiring harness ran and secured so tight that if you actually use the handlebars to steer you are going to experience a myriad of electrical problems, probably a few burnt connections. Favored by riders who drink too much Mt Dew, still frost the tips of their spiked hair, wear mesh muscle shirts, and count the days until the next Vans Warped Tour.

About ten years ago I ordered some Zuk parts from a breaker in Washington State, they arrived FedEx, even though he'd said they would come USPS and be delivered to me by local PO.
A fortnight after the parts arrived, FedEx billed me for duty and the service charge for clearing the duty on my behalf.
I told them to go swivel, as I'd not ever signed any contract with them or authorised them to do anything on my behalf.
In the few items I've had via FedEx since, I've noticed they've always been careful to clear it with me first.

"go swivel" that's awesome I'm adding that one. People around here get so mad when you use phrases that they don't understand but can tell by the tone it's an insult. I've never heard that one but have used "jog on" and "bugger off" my personal favorites is a line Matt Berry used in a series "ok then, now off you f@ck!"

Tariffs collection my guess also. Go pound sand seems appropriate. Ignore it and see if it escalates.

FedEx are the worst "drivers" and generally morons.
No doubt the corp is same.
I don't usually point out misspellings as I'm pretty bad at it but I do believe it spelled "Corps" and in my experience they weren't that bad of drivers. As long as they had a mission they did their job well but give them idle time and there was no limit to the havoc they could create and don't even think about going out drinking with them because those fuc..... Wait, you meant corporation didn't you? Sorry, Disregard.

Tarrifs for sure.
This happened to me a few of months ago. Thought about posting it in the "Can I Just Rant" thread. Bought a part on eBay from Canada. Weeks after the part arrived I got a bill from FedEx for import fees. I have an account with FedEx, and I want to remain in good standings with them, so I paid. The tartriffs weren't that much, but there were all these administrative fees. All told about $40 on a $45 part, including shipping from Canada. Changed a good deal into a terrible deal. Thank you Trump. So now, I can never risk buying parts from other countries because of unknown surprise fees.

Before I got the message to never buy from foreign countries, I bought another part from the same Canadian eBay seller. Never got a bill from FedEx for that one, and it's been a long while, so likely I never will. Lots of fun living with an unexplainable, unintelligible, and capricious system.

...unexplainable, unintelligible, and capricious system.
All completely accurate. Three scenarios within the past ~6 months, all m/c parts from the UK: 1) Part shipped DHL Express, shows up in two days. But before it's delivered I receive an email from DHL detailing the additional fees/tariffs that they have paid on my behalf, plus a link to pay same (if you don't pay, you don't get your shipment). 2) Purchase thru eBay, massively bumped-up charges upfront, no residual payments. Shipment via Royal Mail -> USPS took forever on the USPS end, and; 3) Purchase direct from UK supplier, RM -> USPS again, no massive fee load, no residual payments... still took forever on USPS end.

Never really know what you'll get until it happens.

It seems the current administration hasn't been good news for US owners of old bikes relying on overseas vendors for parts.

The UK has never been wonderful for buying overseas parts but at least it's been transparent and stable. If you buy anything from anywhere outside the UK and the total cost including shipping is less than £135, there is no tax or duty. Over the £135 then HMRC levy import duties (rate varies by country) and 20% VAT on top. Not great, but it's been that way for a long time now.

Tarrifs for sure.

Well this is what it was all forIMG_3440[1].JPG I bought a center stand for Maxine the treacherous Vmax on ebay and it didn't come with any connectors or spring. I figured I could jerry rig it with the stuff I had here but the first time I put her up on the stand was pretty harrowing experience andI had someone helping me. I figured I had better get the proper attachments before Itry again. I still don't have the plate that the spring attaches to.I have been buying a lot of stuff to unwinterise the 3 bikes I have that are operational and not projects but every one of them has small issues that I can't ignore anymore. The S3 has some electrical connection problems but is roadworthy enough,Maxine has a worn neck bearing at 12:00 and is just scary to ride, and the Sportster that I had bought back from a friend has a bunch of issues with ignition that I am pretty sure he created. I just want to sell it but not while it's sputtering and misfiring. I took it out yesterday after checking a few suspects, I remembered from posts here to do one thing at a time in an effort to rule things out and zero in on the real culprit, and itperformed worse. It lunbed forward starting off from 1st misfired through the air cleaner on accelration and back fired on decell, and wanted to die when shifting down to 1st. IMG_3435[1].JPG I found this when I got home.IMG_3434[1].JPGLike I mentioned before, I know this is the wronf thread and I'm trying to keep it about ridingand not trouble shoot. I would love todo some write upsand post pics of my area so members cann get a glance of ruralWillamette Valley OR but everytime I am somewhere picturesque, I'm not on my bike. I'm working on it. In the mean time, when does the second season of Adamc tours the UK come out?I love that show
