Just Ride.

Sorry grouchie. I travelled very light, but maybe tomorrow…. :bike:
I'll hold you to it.

Not sure what one thing it is about your bike, probably the paint scheme, but I think it's one of the best looking XS's I've ever seen. Everything about it just looks "right". The way a performance bike oughta be.

Well, one thing that makes it in my mind is that fabulous exhaust!

Did not plan on taking the bike to work today; but to satisfy @grouchie77
7.00am this morning was gloriuos sunshine and warm. So the bike it is.
Ride to work was very enjoyable as being Saturday very little traffic.

Took the 'A' roads & short motorway stretch as I had to be in early.
Taffy ran very well at sustained 60 / 70mph speeds (faster than I usualy ride it).

Below is Taffy basking in the sun at the front of the Triumph showroom before we open:

The trip down to Colorado Springs to pick up the newest member of the family 1993 Yamaha seca two 23,000 miles garage kept entire life. Previous owner’s daughter only wrote it three times before wanting to get rid of it. I’ll be the third owner first owner used it as a daily rider. Faster than piss😂

A very dependable and capable daily machine. Not flash but not meant to be. Nice catch.

Thanks Adam! Around here we throw beads at ladies that look that beautiful, not sure if that's a thing on that side of the pond.

No Grouchie, in Blighty we throw money at beautiful women; if lucky we might marry one, then normally we throw more money at them in the divorce courts!

I'm lucky I married a good un' Mrs C is wonderful and lets me have all the toys. Together 43 years and counting.
(Mind you that's three life sentences with parol too).... :lmao:

Norton wouldn't start last fall. I got serious Yesterday and finally it kicked to life, then it sputtered out before I got gear on, bumped started it to life in third down the driveway, missed getting it in first, (gear shift is on the wrong side) it killed again, kicked to life ONE MORE TIME on the road shoulder for a trip around the country block.

Bike's OK, my right leg not as much, SHEESH! Kicking Norton's to life getting harder for the old guy. :cautious:
The zener diode charging system tends to kill the battery over winter. Might grab a NOCO and make the SAE disconnect easier to get to.
older pic cuz I wasn't stopping and starting it again ;^)

Yeah, kicking his Norton just about killed Peter Egan , if I remember correctly. o_O
Need to pour that gas into the mower and put in fresh.
Ordered a NOCO lithium. I think a strong 12 volts will help that Accell coil kick out some SPARKS instead of spark.
My luck; it'll spark early and wrap my leg around my ear....
half my running bikes are kick only. :cautious:
speaking of which, think I'll go dodge Memorial weekend tourists with the Beemer.

No, the shifter is on the right side. Your other bikes are probably on the wrong side. Try moving that kick start lever back a spline or two so it engages at about the or just above the 9:00 o'clock position, better leverage.
