What beautiful country for our little 650’s, two lane country roads. Perfect! Nice photos too.
I’m headed to Tupelo where I will pick up the Natchez Trace. The bike is running very smoothly. Temperature is mid 50’s.
Go Marty GO!
But take pics.
Yes yes! Must take photos! I was going to tell you don’t forget to pick up some Tupelo Honey, just goofing on the Van Morrison song. Then I realized they take that name seriously there!
I made it to Vicksburg!
Hows the fresh top end hangin'?
And looks like you found a place for the night...............
I’m still not making puddles. It runs very smoothly, even at 70.
I’m having dinner in the historic district. More later
The police officer didn’t light me up. He saw me down on the waterfront. I was behind him and he pull over and yelled at me out the window. He owns a red ‘77.
It’s only 48 degrees outside, so I’m in no hurry to get rolling.
I really enjoyed yesterday’s ride. There is a lot of Mississippi to see and I don’t mind doing in on a motorcycle. Of course, summer isn’t here yet. No puddles when I went by the bike a couple minutes ago.
That is such pretty country, what great motorcycle roads! I love all the history you’re rolling through. Thanks for taking us along Marty, great photos!
I noticed a conspicuous lack of curves in your pictures Marty. You need to plan a trip out this away...
I just crossed the river on US 82 west. I’m going to try the Great River Road to Helena, AR.
Sunday morning ride up the Columbia Gorge. Sounds simple and it was thankfully as this was this bikes first fast ride out of town. Went 124 miles round trip. At this shown stop I noticed a significant looking head gasket oil leak front left. I wiped it up. Now back at home their is not a leak . Maybe I blasted up the highway a little too hard as it warmed up. Time will tell. The good news is the clutch rod seal seems to have fixed itself too? Crazy..
Rode real Good! Over 80 a few times but due to traffic the over 100 goal is on hold. Sweeping highway corners and country road corners are feeling Great!
Hey, this XS is proving that it can take me away on rides
Is that the overlook west of Hood River on 84?
Washington State side Highway 14 near Beacon Rock
Gotcha, that’s only about 4 miles west of the 84 scenic overlook.
You get some sun on the side of the bike, that could be a calendar shot, jus say'n.
Mebby if you get going earlier... LOL
Was here before 11, about 65°f then.
Ridability prior #1 Gorge pics are ez..
Home for summer beach weather here now.
