Exactly who I thought of too when I saw that post!
Beautiful! Welcome to group and thanks for posting the pics.Last sunday, I got a trip with my little TX. Took something about 150 miles. On the road was so smooth...
Tryed to found a fall in the middle of Canavial. Cities nearly of home, state of SĆ£o Paulo. I crossed the TiĆŖte river, one the bigest at state. There where lot of mud on the road, so I gave up. I will try another day.
This fellow, Colin, was runner up "Teacher of the Year" 2008 or 2009. He has a passion for instilling machining, mechanical, metal work knowledge in his students. I have a few nice bits he gave to students as " class room" projects. Those of you who have fit Virago risers know this piece.Friend showed up on his new to him DT50. Liquid cooled 10000rpm 2 stroke 50cc. He has other legal 2strokes, Beta 300 included. Except for a couple cocktails I would have taken it for a spin, even in 37degrees F.View attachment 238369
Mansions of that era are not nearly as large as Hollywood would have you believe. I have visited many of them, and they are beautiful works of great craftsmanship.Iām doing some shakedown cruising. Thereās nothing like a new toy! The house in the background is an antebellum plantation house.

I had a "Big Box" store mower with a 16 hp twin. At the end of it's life I ditched the mower deck and changed the transaxle shieve size (and belt length) and ended up with a tractor that went 15-16 mph and did pretty good wheelies in my neighborhood cul de sacs. The rains here in Central California finally let up so I put a few miles on the Husky.
She sounds like a paint shaker but has never left me stranded. What more could you ask for??

I told y'all wrong. Construction on this house started 1823. I believe that makes it pre-antebellum.Iām doing some shakedown cruising. Thereās nothing like a new toy! The house in the background is an antebellum plantation house.

Well antibellum literally means "before the war" so the usage is correct, if not politically correct.I told y'all wrong. Construction on this house started 1823. I believe that makes it pre-antebellum.
Yes, but that house is 200 years old, predating the war by a long period. I understood the US antebellum period to begin around 1830? Mississippi joined the union in 1817, so this house came at the beginning. I just learned this morning about the age of that house.Well antibellum literally means "before the war" so the usage is correct, if not politically correct.
