Hey all, New member thought I would say Hi. I started riding in the mid 70's in Australia. I have probably ridden most styles, dirt, road, touring, cruiser and sport etc apart from periods of absence because of other responsibilities. In the very early years to save on fuel and because my ride was a tiddler at the time I rode pillion to work on my mates XS2. I never forgot that Yamaha because of the way the front wheel danced at idle, the howl of his open mega's and the way he had to hold the shifter with his hand to stop it popping out of gear flat out in top. Happy memories that have prompted me to start my XS build at this time, it will be an outfit special that I will go into more detail as the build progresses. Anyway happy to join and by the way you have a great site here. Al

Sorry should have said something about the pics I just shared.
149-50 Triumph T5/T6 frame
It had already been altered to accept a unit engine so I just went ahead and altered it some more to accept the Yammy
Harley sportster triples and forks of unknown origin, custom bearing cups and Yamaha front wheel from one of the specials
15" Invader rear wheel
I plan to have the exterior mounted alternator, because I have it, the original is cooked and I have to much time on my hands
Custom 2 into 1 made from modified Triumph T140 pipes
the final pic is an early mock up I played with using a set of mid 20's Druid Girders, ended up being to much of a hassle to continue with
