Kick start lever assembly fail

At my wits end trying to figure out how to put the kick start lever back together… how the hell do you get the spring and ball bearing in that little area!?!?!? Help lol

Guessing after good night's sleep you'll have it, but a piece of hacksaw blade ground to the shape you need to hold it in place while you slide the base into the arm (held in a vice) will free up that third hand you need?
