Today I test fit the rear wheel assy and new longer brake stay. I also made little plates for the fork stops. The swingarm is going to get a better polishing and some sort of easily removable protectant until our local chrome shop comes back on line (if ever?).

I spent Christmas making a couple of brackets to mount the oil cooler I removed from my first tracker and LSR bike. Might as well put it to some good use. Polished a longer brake stay and changed the gearing from the highway ratio of 17 & 43 to a more responsive 16 & 45. (wish I would have gone 16 & 48) The rear tire has good clearance at the swingarm cross brace and the axle is centered in the adjustment slot. Added a new 520 heavy duty chain. Then I vomited up another rough cut chain guard. I`m not going to detail this until I see what happens to the swingarm. Our chrome shop was working on their nickel tank last week. I`m hoping they`ll be back on line after the 1st of the new year. We`ll see.

I plumbed up the oil cooler. I broke one of the 90 degree fittings but I had a spare. I had to make new lines since I cut up the last set for the LSR build. I`m down to the swingarm and chain guard then it`s finished or at least until I think of something else. After the plumbing was done I decided to remove the broken part of the fitting from the line. "NOT". I heated the fitting and used a easyout with a 3 foot cheater bar. Easyout broke off and the threaded part of the fitting didn`t budge. The fitting, what`s left of the easyout and the cut off line are currently enjoying their new home at the bottom of the trash can. Oh well.
