LastTracker Build Thread

Out in the shop today and gathered up all my wire, terminals, tools, soldering gun, shielding and all the electrical parts I have. Got as far as mounting the coil and horn before I realized it was much easier to go back in the house and watch TV. (reruns of Boston Legal) a show I`d never seen before.:shootme: At least it`s a start.

Boston Legal may be the best show of the last 30 years. Caveat... the first couple season were brilliant melding 3 or 4 different impossible situations. Later the writing went to the "B" team who focused only on "Denny Crane". Sigh.

Today I mounted (mocked up) a few of the electrical components. If I can keep up this pace I should have this bike completed in time for the 2026 calendar. Maybe.

I polished the under seat electronics tray and made a +battery cable. The build is at that stage when you could work on it for 8hrs, stand back 6' and never see what you did. Bummer:shrug:. Two days of yard work starting tomorrow:thumbsup:.

FINISHED! Well for the moment anyway. All the electrical stuff works.
Vape instructions stress the use of a "Good Ground". This thing is grounded more than I was in the 8th grade.:yikes: Retightened all the bolts, added oil, bought some $5.79 per gallon no alcohol gas. I even picked up the tools. Tomorrow might be start up day?
Need to free up that lift for the Cushman.

Well once again you delivered an immaculate bike! Your wiring is a work of art in itself, be a shame to cover that up! 😉 Well done!

Out in the garage this morning, Put gas in the tank, choked it, it fired instantly, choke off and started and seems to run just fine. Still will need carb and timing adjustments. NOT loud enough for me but oh well. I can`t say thanks enough to Jim for his professional engine work and Gary Hoos for his tech support for answering all my stupid questions. I`ll try and post a short video as soon as I figure out how to do that. For me the camera is much harder to use than building a XS650.

Your attention to detail while not losing sight of the vision can only be described as WOW!

I guess I wasn`t as done as I thought. Today I cleaned and polished a front hub to lace with a 18" rim so I can use it on the rear. I have another 19" front hub/rim to polish and lace for the front. I need to find a Omar`s type front to rear wheel conversion kit that doesn`t cost $300.
On a lighter note I have a 2023 SCTA rulebook coming.:sneaky:

Marty, it troubles me that you know that.
I was thinkin the same thing.:yikes: I finished the other hub today now for the rim size. 19" front 18" rear or 19" all around?? I`ve never seen a 400x19 Dunlop K70. only 400x18. I guess I better check the clearance on the main mono shock loop? I`m only going to lace these wheels once!
