I just got done putting blinkers back on my 650. Went with led bulbs in the entire chain including the one that flashes in the center console indicator. I also got the blinker relay from superbrightled.com. I also have a brand new wiring loom and I re wired the grounds on the blinkers with new hardware and dremil cleaned all the metal they hook to. Note - this bike didn't have blinkers when I got it
All working fine. Nice, flashing, bright blinkers. I took out the auto canceler. Only issue now is now the light on the center console doesn't really work. Left blinker it's very dim and right blinker doesn't turn it on at all. I tried different led bulbs with no luck. The head lamp notification (bottom of the tree) works great and bright with both bulbs. So I don't think it's the bulbs. I took the tree apart and looked at all wiring and it looks good. Looked at all the wiring diagrams and it looks simple enough so I'm not sure we're the drop in voltage can be coming from. Especially since the blinkers themselves are bright. The socket doesn't seem dirty or loose.
Any thoughts? I put it all back together last night assuming victory and thinking I don't care about the little dash light. Still would love to get it working.
