I had front LEDs with stock rear turn signal and brake light with the 552 flasher(I think that's what is called) I just installed LED brake light and rear turn signals, tail light and brake light work fine but no turn signals flash, do I need a different flasher or something

Typically led's draw less voltage and may not be pulling enough to trip the flasher. There is a company that sells a flasher relay for leds. Let me go to the garage for a smoke and i'll give ya their name and web address.

Any electronic flasher should do the trick. Seriously go into your local auto parts place and pick one up for less than $10 first. 99 out of 100 times this fixes the issue without buying "special" flashers for LED's only.

if flasher works with leds and you still do not have blinkers maybe try change wires - leds cannot works "both" ways. flasher I mentioned before is just simple electronic flasher, not special one, designed for leds...

I didn't mean to say you were saying the blinker was made for LED's if thats how I came across bud. There are sources that do this though. It annoys me to no end when they market a basic electronic flasher as made specifically for LED's and charge $50 or more. It's literally a $10 part!

Yep agreed the LF1-S-FLAT is an electronic flasher and is like $8.99. I would imagine LED's are a little finickyand would require all negative and positive on each light to be wired the same, hey its a possibility.

Hooligan, this worked for my set up. http://www.customdynamics.com/trick_flasher.htm
It is easy to install and it is small. about the size of a zippo lighter.

I guess it's possible, but I've changed many peoples flashers to work with LED's and it was always as easy as popping in a new one and all was well.

Hooligan did you get a 2 or 3 prong flasher? is it possible that you simply wired it wrong?

I double checked all the wiring, I tried a 552 two prong flasher that usually works with LEDs, it worked great when I had LEDs on the front and stock rear lights, but now that I have rear LEDs the turn signals just come on and stay one, I also tried a three prong flasher it is the napa el15 mentioned above, with all three prongs hooked up the turns signals won't even light up, but if I only hook up two of the prongs they come one and just barely flicker but don't actually flash, so I'm thinkin I need a different flasher that will basically flash with zero load ( If they make such a thing) but I am open to any other suggestions

I have LED turn signals coming shortly and an electronic flasher (part #90650 about $9 on amazon) so if this works well I will let you know. It will probably be Tuesday or Wednesday when I get them hooked up.

Hooligan, LED's are polarity sensetive. They have a positive and negative. If they are wired backwards then they wont work. On the new rear turns try reversing the power flow to see if they light.
If the body of the light is grounded, then the bulb itself may be wired back wards.
A few tests will help figure it out.

With my LED's they will only flicker when the RPM's are low. When I give it some throttle they flash bright and normal. I'm not sure what causes this but you might try raising your RPM's and see if they light up. If anyone knows the reason I have this problem, please let me know. I have the LF1-S-Flat flasher. I'm wondering if the flasher is too close to the coil. Maybe I will move it and see what happens.

jchrisk1, the LF1-S- Flat is sensetive to interference from the coil, the hotter to coil the more the interference. Get it at least a foot away.
I found this out on my 75 with the Green Monster coil.

There is no rear fender, it is a thin strip of LEDs, the center five are tail and brake, then five on the left for turn and five on the right for right turn, coming out of the light there is a wire for ground, one for tail one for brake and two for turn signals, tail light and brake light work fine.

Leo- maybe I'm not following you, is there a different way to hook them up, I just put a test light on each wire coming out out of the bikes harness to see what each wire did and then hooked it up according to what the lights instructions said each wire did
