Late European model, picture from Nippon Classic. Here with the lighter red of the last year of production. The unpopular long rear fender is typical for Germany .. regulations here were pretty crazy back then. But these days people are starting to specifically look for this fender. Well, a matter of taste. Anyway, I like the old classic Lafranconi pipes on this XS : )

I understand the mixed emotions on the rear long fender. Many like the OEM look and I will choose to not disagree (it's fugly). The LaFarnconi seem to have a pressed seam top and bottom. Are my eyes bad?

No, they are right. These seams are typical for Lafranconi of the 70s, at least on Moto Guzzi. My loopframe V7 has different ones than the later Tonti S and T models up to early LeMans1, but they all have those pressed seams. In reality it is a cheap construction, but characteristic of the time. I like this style ; )

Turn the page... Not the XS you expected to see...:D Most everyone who has visited the build page on this buke stands in awe and admiration. I personally offered my services as test rider (wisely ignored by the builder) Phil educated us on so many topics with regards to LSR classes, rules, runs that we each owe him at least a little bit of "thanks". Go get 'em Phil.
