Sorry I have no idea; It may say in the advert?
copied from the advert:
The frame was modified to accept various new parts such as the new seat structure, battery box and rear Zephyr swing arm. The bike is fitted with R1 front forks along with many custom made parts including the exhaust system. The engine has been totally stripped and rebuilt and was found to be a "256" motor, electronic ignition has been fitted as well as Mikuni carbs. The bikes frame has been powder coated, and the paint scheme chosen was Candy Green over silver with a handcrafted seat also fitted.

You can do all of that, but you shouldn't try to get your money back afterwards. That would be a rude awakening
Exactly. My humble opinion is that the bike is actually worth more when it's completely standard as it left the factory. For sure a stock XS650 is rare thing. There's thousands of them hacked about like that one out there.

Hacked about like this one you mean?!......... :laugh2::lmao::bike:

Yep. Just like that one, looks great mind.

Says IBALT who has a standard 650D that he's spent about £6k on and it's still worth £3k on a good day. Good thing, it doesn't matter.

:shootme:
If you go into the dealer and buy a brand new motorcycle today, how much is it worth tomorrow?

I am guilty of liking motorcycles with poor residuals anyway, the price of swimming away from the mainstream.

Given that 20% of the new bike price is tax and another is say 10% profit margin then any new bike is instantly worth 30% less the minute you pay for it.

Let’s not forget freight!

My XS650SK was $2K back in 1983. It was not an impulse buy. It had to be an XS650. I had been jonesing for one since 1972. When I learned there would be no more, I went and bought it. Since it’s still serving me, I have no complaints about any money I have spent on it.

Well, @bazz hope the knee op goes well for you. Sounds like a sensible g/f keeping you away from the garage . . . for now anyway.
I was allowed in the garage for a couple of hours yesterday
She put the ramp up for me and I've removed the alternator cover to mark up the rd 350 alternator rotor for tdc on the left cylinder
I need to get the timing marked up before I strip the top end
It's running Boyer ignition
Is anyone running a Boyer and what full advance are you strobing too?
Apologies if I've asked this question before but I'm old !! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
