My interpretation of a Street Scrambler. '76 C model frame with SR500 forks, front hub and brake. TX 256 engine fully rebuilt, stock cam & 2nd OS pistons, Trispark ignition and BS34 carbs. Exhaust by Terry Merritt, Redline Exhaust Adelaide SA and seat by Tony Smith, Southland Trim Aldinga Beach SA. Nearly 500Ks up now and getting the teething problems sorted.
Thanks to all on the forum who have helped with a shoutout to 5Twins.

My kind of do all bike. A bitsa machine and all the better for it.

A couple of my builds
@xskev, couple of questions regarding your builds...
What size are those rear wheels? I am assuming they are 19's. If so, are they XS650 fronts or from another Yamaha model? How wide are the rears?
Both bikes appear to have flat-track tires mounted... what size are they and what rim widths are they mounted on?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer!

Lost the house last year so massive impediment to finishing my 650. Had to tear it down.

Life has somewhat calmed down again and I am resuming things slowly. Rebuilding the engine and redoing the front end for a drum brake. Currently has a set of CB750 K front forks.

Everything I see says it’s a 1983 Heritage Special. I think the seat may have come out of the Yamaha accessory catalog. Nice score!

Good score @MikeinNY and welcome to the forum. That looks a great basis for a bike to ride. Deals like that never happen in the UK, unfortunately.

Have a look around and there's plenty of threads on bringing a bike back to life after being stood. Maybe you've done this before, but any questions, just ask.

So far tank is very clean, removing carbs and tossing them in the ultrasonic cleaner for an extended stay. PB Blaster in the cylinders before seeing if she rotates, all good, installed new battery all works fine, quick shot of starter fluid before removing the carbs fired right up! This one is going to be a good project for sure!

You're doing all the right things. I'll just bring up that old chestnut about tyres - if the bike has been stood for a long time, they are out of date, the rubber has lost its flexibility and I would not trust them. New set of tyres a lot cheaper than falling off . . .
