The bolts holding the filter/strainer to the sump plate get loctite ? Getting ready to put it back together and couldn’t help but think what a disaster it could be if one got loose .

I never have. They have lock washers (or should) so I just gently tighten them down until those washers flatten out, maybe just a hair past that point. Be careful not to over-tighten them or you'll crush and deform the filter.

No Locktite. Do not overtorque. The OE bolt heads will break off if you get aggressive. I broke one and ended up doing an overhaul, since the bottom case half was off.

The filter would crush big time before the bolts broke. You might be thinking of the sump plate bolts which sometimes reportedly have some kind of breakaway head, but mine are normal bolts

The sump filter plates are separated by 3 steel tubes that the bolts pass through. In order to "big time" crush the filter, you'd have to crush those tubes down like an accordion. Never tried yankin' on those bolt that much, but I suspect you'd pull the threads out of the sump plate or shear the bolt head off long before you crushed those tubes..... and the filter.
